3 nights in Bangkok..

3 nights in Bangkok...that's only the beginning...Yes.... I have just flitted across half the world (well that's what it feels like) and spent 3 nights in bustling Bangkok and 4 looong arduous days shopping up a storm to bring back to my faithful customers some rare finds from the East... (ha ha) When I say "rare finds" I am referring to the fact that there is an abundance of oversupplied, kitch & gaudy clothing in between which I find little gems... almost like the odd item that somehow turned out beautiful. During my 4 days of shopping my eyes are focussed and searching and when I find that special piece I fight for it and bargain for a chance to bring my friends and customers these exciting offerings...Take a small peak at what a typical market stall looks like... No photo's are allowed but I found this out only after I'd taken it!!

If the day was a colour...

Some Mondays I wake up with that "Blue Monday" feeling... except it often isn't Monday. Sometime you know why: you're just tired, overworked, bored, in the valley - Colour : BLACK....but other times you can't explain why you're feeling so blue - Colour : GREY. Either way I've learnt in these times to appreciate all the positive and good things in my life of which there are so so many - I am blessed beyond measure!
And I lead my heart and mind to dwell on things that are lovely, good, uplifting - If the day was a colour, it would be NAVY...

the small things...

Fashion is all about detail.... it could be the length of your sleeves, the buckle on your shoe, the tiny rose on your headband or the gorgeous suede edging on your skirt...it's the attention to these details that can make all the difference...
I know we don't always feel like we have time to think about the small things, but next time before you buy something - look at the detail: the pockets, the length, the fabric, the textures & colours, the edging and neckline.... make sure all of these details are just right and you'll end up with something you love....X0X0

Summer with a hint of Autumn...

Well, what a beautiful day I woke up to ... It's crazy how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful place - and it's meant to be Autumn, which in other parts of the world would probably mean us wearing cardigans and even perhaps scarves but here in beautiful Port Elizabeth it means smiling happy sunny days which cool down to crisp evenings... Not too hot, not too cold.... I love it....
It's Summer with a hint, just a hint, of Autumn...
